The law firm of Oakes & Fosher is presently investigating the alleged misconduct of former securities broker Jon Lindberg. According to his publicly available FINRA BrokerCheck report, Jon Lindberg has been the subject of multiple customer disputes in his career.

Jon Lindberg was an Alabama based securities broker. He worked in the securities industry for thirty-four years. During his career, he was registered with four different securities firms. He is no longer working as a registered securities broker in any fashion.

The Allegations 

  • In May 2018, a customer alleged that they experienced losses due to Jon Lindberg’s incompetence. This case was settled for $64,000 in damages.
  • Also in May 2018, a customer alleged that Jon Lindberg’s aggressive mishandling of their account led to it being almost completely depleted. This case was settled for $92,607 in damages.
  • In April 2019, Jon Lindberg was officially sanctioned by they Alabama Securities Commission. The findings in this matter state that he failed to inform his broker dealer of the above mentioned complaints, failed to disclose the risks associated with options trading to multiple customers, failed to update his form adv to reflect disciplinary events, failed to uphold his duty as a fiduciary to his customers, and failed to follow his own policies and procedures. This sanction is currently pending.
