Attorney Richard Fosher has a broad knowledge base and extensive experience identifying key areas of broker misconduct such as churning and other areas of self-dealing as well as brokers’ failure to invest customer funds in “suitable” investments.
Mr. Fosher has been a long-standing member of the Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association (PIABA), and has been recognized by Lawyers Weekly as well as the PIABA’s Bar Journal for recovering large compensatory and punitive damage awards on behalf of clients.* Mr. Fosher also serves as an arbitrator for securities arbitration cases before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
Since 2007, Oakes and Fosher has won more cases on behalf of individual investors tried before full FINRA panels than any other attorney in the country.
Mr. Fosher graduated cum laude from Saint Louis University of Law where he also served as editor for the University’s Law Journal. More recently, Mr. Fosher has lectured on the topic of securities arbitration, including speaking at the Business Tort Litigation Seminar in Las Vegas, Nevada where he discussed securities arbitration in a lecture entitled “Anatomy of a Securities Arbitration Claim.”
Rick is a father of two daughters, Megan and Julie, and enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
