The law firm of Oakes & Fosher is presently investigating the alleged misconduct of former securities broker Gerald Eaton. According to his publicly available FINRA BrokerCheck report, Gerald Eaton has been the subject of a FINRA sanction.

Gerald Eaton was a Massachusetts based securities broker. He worked in the securities industry for twenty-seven years. During his career, he was registered with three different securities firms. He is no longer working as a registered securities broker in any fashion.

  • John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company (1992-1995)
  • John Hancock Distributors (1992-1995)
  • Commonwealth Financial Network (1995-2019)

The Allegations

In November 2019, Gerald Eaton was officially sanctioned by FINRA. The findings in this matter state that he had been terminated from his member firm following allegations that he facilitated distributions from clients’ accounts without their knowledge or consent. Due to these allegations, Gerald Eaton was barred by FINRA from acting as a securities broker in any fashion.
