Andrew Lee Denney has worked in the securities industry for thirteen years with seven different securities firms. From 2004 to 2006 he worked for IDS Life Insurance Company. From 2004 to 2007 he concurrently worked for Ameriprise Financial Services. In 2007 he worked Cambridge Investment Research. In 2008 he worked for the LPL Financial Corporation. From 2008 to 2010 he worked for the O.N. Equity Sales Company. He returned to Cambridge Investment Research in 2010 and worked there until 2015. He then worked for LPL Financial LLC from 2015 to 2017. He is currently not working as a registered securities broker.
Andrew Denney’s FINRA BrokerCheck report shows that he was recently sanction by FINRA for an alleged rule violation. FINRA’s finding suggest that Denney disclosed the private information about approximately 25 of his customers to an unregistered broker. This was done to assist this individual’s efforts to act as a broker, even though they were disqualified from doing so. FINRA’s findings state that Denney shared private information about account balances, securities transactions, and investment strategies with the disqualified individual. Denney also broke his firm’s policy on communicating privileged information through text messaging.
For his actions, Andrew Lee Denney was fined 5,000 dollars by FINRA and 20,000 dollars by the state of the Missouri. He was issued a twelve-month suspension from the securities industry.
